Many people are looking for the answer to getting fit and being in shape. A lot of people want to take that to the next level and get their bodies toned and chiseled. There is a new workout called the Insanity Workout done by Shaun T, that makes the claim that you can have that body in just 60 days.
Who is Shaun T?
Shaun T is a fitness expert who has come out with other popular DVD workout programs. He is best known for his Hip Hop Abs workout DVD. This workout was an ab workout set to music and included dance moves as a part of the exercise. It is extremely popular and has sold many copies. Shaun T has been working on a full body workout program and he has released it in July 2009. This is the Insanity Workout.
So what is the Insanity Workout?
Shaun T has come up with a new technique called Max Interval Training. I will explain it this way. Typically when you go on a 3 mile jog you run at a steady pace, and if you push yourself the last quarter mile you may try to sprint and finish strong. Well, Max Interval Training takes that theory and flips it upside down. Shaun T takes you on a “2.75 mile sprint” and the last .25 is meant to seal in the results and cool off. It is a completely different mindset than what is currently out there, but that is what makes the Insanity Workout so insane.
Not For Beginners.
Insanity is not going to be a workout for beginners. If you are terribly out of shape, this workout is not going to be right for you. It is not a smart idea to overly exert yourself with a workout that is meant for people that are already in okay shape. Now I am not saying that everyone that is out of shape should not do the Insanity Workout, but I am saying that you need to make sure you are up for a difficult exercise. Even Shaun T himself says that Insanity is not for lazy people, nor is it for the week minded.
Why be so hard on the workout?
You need to be educated in order to pick the workout that is going to best suite you. Insanity is a high energy, explosive workout that has brought a lot of people great success with their body, but that just does not mean it is for everyone.
